the Ocean
Axel’s first experience with the ocean was an experience I looked forward to. I couldn’t wait to see his reaction to this humbling force of nature.
He was in awe. I watched his eyes soak in the waves. His toes squish the wet sand. His little gasps of the fresh salty air.
We splashed around until Axel was tuckered out - that sweet, enveloping kind of tired that only the beach can give you. He held onto Mike and began to nod his sleepy head onto his dad’s shoulder. This will forever be one of my most cherished memories..
That morning, on that beach we were in our own little utopia.
